Devon Dust-up
Is anyone else planning on doing Devon next weekend? I already have a few people going up with me… but I didn’t know if we wanted to try to get a group going together to help with car-pooling/camping arrangements (if you’re into the camping thing). It would also be fun to get a group pre-ride thing going on Saturday as well. Anyway, let me know!

Weekend riding …
Now that most of the racing is over I will be making an effort to get my fat a$$ in shape. Saturday mornings will be an early road ride, usually to Bragg for coffee from Westhills at about 7:30. Easy doesn’t do this ride justice … I’m slow and that’s that! Sunday I’m going to try and start doing some big MTB rides. Let me know if your interested in either.
Cheers, Ed

Weekday Group Rides
Starting up some weekly group rides. Talked with the wife and she gave me the go ahead for Thursdays. Yay! For now I think I will keep the rides to the fun trails in the city. In July/August we can start doing rides in the mountains.
Thursdays meet at Edworthy Park cafe at 6:00pm. If you are late(6:15ish) come to the southside of the tracks and hang out on the SW side of the parking lot and I will take a look after our first lap.
These will be fun social rides. Focusing on climbing and technical riding. Ride times are anywhere from 1.5 hours to 3 hours. Really depending on who shows up.
My contact info is 403-815-5256 cell. Email is sonikphyr(at)hotmail.com. If you want anymore info please contact me.

Iron Lun XC
Ed et al:
Bravo…My hats off to you guys. That was the best XC course I have ever raced!!!! It was all rideable if you were good enough technically. It had some real climbing so you had to be good & fit and it had some great flat work as well.
Great job all.

Iron Lung Course & Weather update …
Here’s your update for Saturday evening. The weather in Canmore is Sunny and Dry and the course is in great shape. All of our start times will be as the tech guide indicates except for Sport Women which will now be combined with Expert Women at 1pm. Elite and Expert racers will still be able to register on Sunday, but you must do so by 12 noon.

Iron Lung Registration Update …
Due to how unpredictable the weather is looking for this weekend we will be extending registration to 8pm Saturday evening with no late fee. There will be Race day registration for the Elite/ Expert Start only and you must register by 12pm. We will be charging you the $10 late fee if you register on Sunday though.

Iron Lung Course update …
Please be advised that there will be heli-logging at the Nordic Center on Tuesday and Wednesday to clear out the Pine Beetle trees. There will be no access to the trails on those days, but if your planning on heading up in the evening then make sure and call ahead to ensure the trails are open. The Thursday ride should be good to go regardless.

Iron Lung Pre-ride
I will be holding a pre-ride of the Iron Lung course next Thursday the 4th @ 6pm. Everyone is welcome and we will hopefully do a couple of laps of both the main course and the relay loop. You will easily be able to do multiple circuits on Devonian Drop and the Ass Whupper to get you ready for the weekend. If your interested please meet at the Biathlon Building parking lot and be ready to go by 6ish. If you can’t make it by then just hang out by the Biathlon building and we’ll catch you on the next lap. It’s a super fun course so even if your not racing come out for the ride.

Iron Lung Team Relay
Hey Team,
Is anyone interested in forming a group for the Team Relay? I was upgraded to Expert after my win last weekend at the Perogy race in Edmonton. My spot counts as 30 of 100 points.
