Red Deer Campus Cross
Anyone want to carpool to Red Deer? I’m planning on leaving from downtown area around 8AM to arrive at 10AM. Send me an e-mail at tomv@shaw.ca or leave a comment.

If you’re up for practicing your ‘cross skills then be at Shaganappi Park, Thursday Sept10 at 6:30 or so. There will be no coaching, just a few obstacles and a short course to practice on. Ed
Just wondering if anyone is planning on heading up to Hinton for mtb provincials? Post here or e.mail me (curtis.katy@gmail.com).
Katy.
Hey all - I’m on a 5 person team and we are short a rider (or two possibly) for the 24 hours of adrenaline. If you are interested in riding with us, email me at chris_dittrick@yahoo.ca
Thanks!
Chris
Now that most of the racing is over I will be making an effort to get my fat a$$ in shape. Saturday mornings will be an early road ride, usually to Bragg for coffee from Westhills at about 7:30. Easy doesn’t do this ride justice … I’m slow and that’s that! Sunday I’m going to try and start doing some big MTB rides. Let me know if your interested in either. Cheers, Ed
Is anyone else planning on doing Devon next weekend? I already have a few people going up with me… but I didn’t know if we wanted to try to get a group going together to help with car-pooling/camping arrangements (if you’re into the camping thing). It would also be fun to get a group pre-ride thing going on Saturday as well. Anyway, let me know! Amy Barnett (amybarnett@shaw.ca)
Here’s the link to the photos that were being taken by a pro photog … pretty nice shots of a bunch of you. The best thing is your all smiling. Cheers. http://www.f8digitalphotography.com/P10.html
Starting up some weekly group rides. Talked with the wife and she gave me the go ahead for Thursdays. Yay! For now I think I will keep the rides to the fun trails in the city. In July/August we can start doing rides in the mountains.
Thursdays meet at Edworthy Park cafe at 6:00pm. If you are late(6:15ish) come to the southside of the tracks and hang out on the SW side of the parking lot and I will take a look after our first lap.
These will be fun social rides. Focusing on climbing and technical riding. Ride times are anywhere from 1.5 hours to 3 hours. Really depending on who shows up.

Bravo…My hats off to you guys. That was the best XC course I have ever raced!!!! It was all rideable if you were good enough technically. It had some real climbing so you had to be good & fit and it had some great flat work as well.
Great job all.
Here’s your update for Saturday evening. The weather in Canmore is Sunny and Dry and the course is in great shape. All of our start times will be as the tech guide indicates except for Sport Women which will now be combined with Expert Women at 1pm. Elite and Expert racers will still be able to register on Sunday, but you must do so by 12 noon.
